Lasso started back in the mists of time as a collaboration between Lars
Paalgard, Petter Pogo, Justin Newall and Kjersti Sundland. Time
constraints led to the band being put on the shelf for a year or two,
before Lars, Petter and Justin resurrected their cowboy orchestra. Lasso
has since grown and frequently employs the expertise of guest musicians,
hence the suffix ‘elastique’. Taking real cowboy poetry as a starting
point, most of the music is written by Lars. The rest of the band pull it
apart, put it back together and the end result is the unique cowboy
experience known as ‘Lasso (elastique)’!
